Transcript Street *Wi$e ^amdy " F.I.FLetta How many mix cd's do you have out now? I have 6 right now floating around. The first one is Under Construction Volume 1 featuring Pat McGurn , Al D (DJ Screw's lil brother), and Gusto. The second is Under Construction Volume 2, the third is called the FLUD, the fourth one is A Chance To Get Even, the fifth is called The Personal CD and the sixth is ATX Chainsaw Massacre. I also have one coming soon called The Quik E so look out for it. How did you hook up with Trae on one of your songs? I was messin' around with this cat Mike C and the dude that was doing the album cover was on the phone with Trae while we were at his house. So Mike C chopped it up with Trae, we met him at Music Mania and I rapped the hook to him. He (Trae) wrote a sixteen on the way to the studio and we laid the song down within an hour of meeting. What is your aim when writing your songs? My aim is to compete with niggaz that I feel is the best and smash them. I listen to stuff that everybody thinks is real hot and I try to out do that person. I also try to transfer everything I did in the streets into my raps because I know that it's niggaz out there listening that might need guidance. When I was out there I learned part of the game from the music that I listened to. I just want to tell people what I've been through, what was good, and what was bad. One of your songs talks about life on lock. Tell us about that. It really ain't like a war going on in there, it's more of niggaz missing there loved ones. If you ain't a knuckle head you won't get caught up in no trouble. I was just trying to do my time and come out, so I didn't have no problem. When I got out I wanted to hit this music hard because it takes a long time to put your name in, so I wanted to jump in it now before it got too late. What motivates you? The fact that Austin hasn't had its chance yet, so I want to be a part of that. I also feel like Austin is about to blow up because niggaz in Austin haven't been getting any attention so niggaz down here work harder and some of the best talent is right here in Austin, Texas. Give your shouts out: Chris with Street Wize, Pat McGurn, Supa Maine, Trae with S.L.A.B , 2-3, 5-3, and anybody else putting it down for Austin, Texas. Supa Maine What kind of response have you been getting from the Street Wize mix cd's? I have been getting a lot of props, everybody has been asking about the Street Wize Magazine and when is the next one dropping. They also ask when is my album dropping and when is the Pat McGurn album dropping. What Can We look out for in the future? That Street Wize mix cd, that Supa Maine album, Pat McGurn album, and that F.I.F Letta album. Give some shout outs: My big brothers L.O.S (on lock) and Vik, the nawfside of Austin Texas, 78753, also everybody that supports Street Wize. Pat McGurn What kind of response have you been getting from the Street Wize Compilations? Well I was getting a lot of love from the streets before we dropped the three compilations. I had some personal mixed cd's I passed out to all the real niggas I ran across. Now we have it circulating in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Las Vegas, Australia, Germany, and France, just ask about us. So how is Street Wize Magazine doing? We're doing pretty good I must say we are the first Hip Hop Magazine to come out of Austin and to put a FREE CD in the magazine. We just try to help out people, and show love to the underground rappers who haven't really gotten any exposure, yet and we stay consistent we don't put together a magazine and then bring it out 6 months later. This magazine is much bigger than just Texas we all the way in Germany baby. Do you feel Austin is about to blow up? Hell yea we next fa sho, Look out for Pat McGurn the first rapper to rap on Fox Channel 7 morning show with Young Bubba, Supa Maine, F.I F. Letta, VI.P on tour right now with Trae from S.L.A.B, Nac and Swift also Big 50 them boys performed at the All Star weekend 2006 in Houston TX. Look out for that boy Chris Spivey on them fire beats too. Give your shouts out: First thanks to GOD, my brother for supporting me, my mamma, James Jut, L.O.S (on lock), Holley (in the feds), Bill Wallace, F.I.F, Supa Maine, Baby Giant, Back Stage Music, Music Mania, Active Athlete, Sports Kingdom, The Lab in Albuquerque NM, Kings in Houston, and the Northside of Austin.
