Transcript About Town by Russ Culver. Dallas Hello Dallas. Wasn't it a wonderful weekend? The weather was definitely a taste of summer with a "real windy" spring breeze. Along with Kim and myself, the people were lying (just lying, nothing more), baking in the sun. After the sun sat, they were out and about for "a little night music", so read on. Starting off Friday night with a bang. As most of you girls know, Juggs has .25 cent draft beer Tuesday and Friday nights. Peggy, the manager, and her co-workers ran themselves ragged serving cocktails to a packed house. Thanks for a great time ladies. Speaking of girls. Partners in Fort Worth collected $175 for the Ronald McDonald House by raffling off a 6-foot rabbit (now could you imagine going lo bed with a 6 foot rabbit?). Keep up the good work. The heat was hot this pasl weekend and D.I Buck at Big Daddy's was just as hot cranking out the tunes. Also, look for Buck's music column in this The Blue Mill has been having record crowds thanks to the wonderful food and service. Dale and Travis are there lo greet you and are hard at work Also, stop by and wish Chelli a happy return. For you guys that like to get down and party, Tramps has beer bust Mondays and Thursdays from SPM to midnight. Stop in for a beer or two, or three... For you gals, saddle up and head out to High Country to celebrate their 8th Anniversary, April 23rd-26th. A three day ordeal, what a party! Backdoor to High Country, Ray has added on to the Den, and on Sundays is the Cozy While Super Show featuring such talents as Mahogony, Tina Turner, Ashley Adams, Kandi Delight, and more. Also on Sundays, the Hideaway Clubs present iheir steak out, which have been a smashing success. A special thanks to Chuck for a special birthday party for Willie Monday night (a nighl that will not be forgotten). Speaking of smashing successes over at Ovations Cabaret, Steve and Dave have done a fantastic job.Fresh flower arrangements, soft relaxing colors and an array of entertainment provides the perfect atmosphere for a perfect evening. Slop by Ovations and catch the Ricky Graham Show, not to be missed, April 23-26th. A very special thanks to Tony Rose for his unforgettable show at Big Daddy's. Tony's gone back easl now, but he'll be back in September with a new show. We'll be waiting. For those of you who are up and about on Sundays, stop by Griggs Field and catch a softball game, starting around 1:00PM. The Tramp-a-Leans will be cherleading the leams, so go out and support your favorite team. About supports, the Trestle had their Best/Biggest Basket Contest last Saturday with a $25.00 cash prize. I remember everything's bigger in Texas, but these baskets were bigger than even a Texas Easter Bunny could ever bring. The Bratz were at Rumors last Saturday and the place was packed. A special thanks to Judy and Misty for a comfortable welcome. Can't wail to see what these ladies are up to next. Don't forget the Monday Night Jockey Short Contest at the Village Station. Alberta will be there to greet you at the door with a smile and gladly take your money to see lhc contestants undress. The summer's here and the parties have begun, the Hub Apartments held a party with free beer and food, and Lynn, the manager, was there with her Wheel of Fortune. (They tried to gel Vanna, bul she was busy featuring lingerie.) Another party a block over at Woodtrail Apartments had bodies tanning everywhere. Free beer and food live DJ, and water volleyball provided lots of fun for everyone. Thanks Racy. Also, Douglas Park Apartments arc undergoing a facelift. Stop by and check il out. Since the days are longer and gelling hotter, slop by Granny's Gift Shop in Fort Worth, nexl door to 651, and get a soda pop. On Sundays and Mondays all money in the machine will be donated to AIDS research. Wei your whistle and support AIDS research al th. same time.
