PEARL 742 - 4034 •*••••••** *■*• ••••••••••••••***+*+**************************i Lynn Hudspeth - owner operator LETTERS to the EDITOR The Monastery of Saint Gregory 2803 Tenty Street Wyandotte, Michigan 48192 Dear Friends in Christ: Today marks an important milestone on our road to a bigger and brighter future for not only the gay community but also for our Monastery parish. We wish to announce the start of an entirely new project that with it brings the realization of obtaining the facilities we have dreamt about for over three years. This new project, the MONASTERY BUILDING FUND, represents a vital step in placing our parish in a position of progress. Daily in our lives we see things change; that which might have been practical in the past is now near obsolete. Many of us can recall when our small chapel was able to fill the needs of the parish; today, of course, the facilities and cramped and room for activities, new seminarians, and worship are lacking. Thus we undertake this project to become not only more efficient, but to provide more service and convenience for you our friends and our parishioners. We are not employing professional fund-raisers, thus, we believe this method will increase the efficiency of your parish many times over in the immediate future. Thus, it will also allow your priests fo do the job they were ordained for: "To bring God into your lives." The most important element in our project is YOU! The best methods in the world are useless unless YOU take an active part in making them work. We ask you and your friends to be as generous as possible in your offerings. Those donating $25 or more will have their names inscribed upon a special plaque which will hand in the church vestibule. Memorials in memory of loved ones are also available upon request. The projected goal for this project is $75,000.00! Only together can we make it a success! The future of our parish, your monument to and for posterity, is in YOUR hands, and we know that YOU will meet with understanding the necessity of this great undertaking with the same zeal and faith you have demonstrated in the past. Sincerely, Your Father in Christ x R. Zaborowski, OSG P.S. - Kindly make your check or money order payable: Monastery of St. Gregory Building Fund Dear Rev. Zaborowski, We of the NUNTIUS wish you all the deserved continued success you have enjoyed over the past few years. We sincerely hope that our readers will in some way help the growth by contributing what they can. Our best - NUNTIUS Bob Damron Enterprises 2166 Market Street San Francisco, California 94114 The Nuntius Houston, Texas Dear Sirs: Your readers may be interested to know that Gay is indeed Growing .. there were only 1,875 bars this time last year and are now 2,409 .. an increase of ■ just over five hundred. Averages to 10 per state in only a year. Looks like we're getting there! It's not been too apparent in other cities I've seen, but the politicians in the city of San Fran, are really hitting the gay bars solici- tating the gay vote. Our Political voting Blocks have been very effective here and they have come to us for support. Perhaps this may be of some interest to you too, and I feel strongly this new notice our politicians are showing is a direct result of yours and other fine publications around the country. Sincerely, Pat McAdams per Bob Damron Enterprises The Address Book
