General manager Jay Allen stated that the structure has taken quite a beating since opening last year ant that the closure for, remodeling will enable the Depo$itory to clean up the club thoroughly, install a new dance floor, a new fascinating light show, and a new men's shop. C. J. Harrington, the former Mr. David will be opening his clothing shop, C. J.'s of Houston in the back area of the building. The Grand re-opening January 29th should prove to be quite festive. The Dallas arson squad had definite leads in the case. The bar scene in Houston has been quite stiff over the past years and has had several similiarities with the Dallas firs. However the Oak Lawn area, Dallas where the new Old Plantation was located, has had five arson fires in the past week. Scott Hews, general manager of the Plantations, said that the Dallas club will open within the next two weeks at a temporary location until a pemanent location can be found and built. They have also promised to buile the new location into a true super bar and give the Gays in Big D a bar like they haver seen before. "They can burn us out, but not keep us down. The Old Plantation will rise," stated Mr. Hews. However, NOW! that I have to put it in some "other strange" paper called "the Gay Males - Female Swingers" (whatever that is), and can not even put it in your paper. Well! I'll tell you, Mr. Plummer! I'm never sending an ad of mine (free or $100) to any paper, mag, oranythingelse that says and I quote here'' consent her is given to GM/FSoranyother publication as the GM/FS may see fit, or to use for the promotion thereof.'' End of quote. I would not Jetyourpaperorthis "GM/FS" or any publication "I may see fit" ever ever, ever, ever, print an ad o; pie. or both of mine, who the hell knows where. Free or pay my ad or pie. or both goes where I say, in a publication, I k!low something about, and like or 1t does not go in at all! Mr Plummer, I am sorry your paper took this "new" way now because, my friends (gay guys like me), and I do not want to read or deal with a paper that has a policy like you have adopted now! I hope you will answer my letter. So you can please tell me why you changed so, much for the ~,,rse. An ex reader, Charles Dallas Dear Charles, I am sorry you feel this way about our classified section. Everything is done anonomously and with the utmost care to see that people who submit a classified are given all the "protection" they desire. I realize that the heading on the classified form says "GM/FS" Originally the publishers of the Nuntius were going to publish a gay classified magazine called the Gay Male/Female Swinger. The sucess of the weekly Nuntius has prompted them to come out with a larger monthly edition of the Nuntius that will be sold at news stands across the country. The free weekly publication will still be given out in the Southwest. Because the classified response has been too great to run every ad each wee, they are rotated every week. The monthly publication will contain all of the classifieds received by the Nuntius, thereby giving each classified the maximum in reader exposure and still maintain the protection of their being anonimous. At no time do we allow the names of our classified advertisers to leave our files. This change in classified policy I hope will help not only the circulation of the Nuntius, but also the classified circulation itself. I personally do not feel any breach of promise has been made to our classified advertisers or readers . Hopefully this change will benefit everyone. ~;;;-;., OLD PLANTATION FOLLIES Wednesday, Jan 26th, and Sunday, Feb 1st, the Old Plantation Follies will open on the stage at 2020 Kipling. The Texas Tornado Tiffany Jones, Miss Gay Texas, Lana, the very talented Eartha Kitt and the always popular Kitty Keye will be on hand to entertain the entire evening. The Follies will mark the first show in The Old Plantation and promises to be a power packed show. Showtime both evenings is 9:15. There will be a $1.00 cover, but all bar drinks will be half price ARIE'S - March 21 - April 20 Driving to and from work could be hazardous if you insist on taking chances. ADVISE: me that he usually made about $60 a day. This is all quite new to me. It seems to me that $60 is a lot of money a day. Is this a very open field of endeavor? ADVISE: I have been asked in the past to publish a picture of myself. Well here it is, I hope it helps you out. Yes, I must admit $60 a day would be a good salary in most any job. However, the security of the profession may not have much longevity. Some people working in prostitution make as much as two or three hundred dollars a day. But those are far and few between. You didn't mention why you have this interest. Sounds as if you're going to start a business for yourself. Dear Aunt Sofa: The other night I was out on a BUNI/BDUSE local cruise circuit and stopped to talk to a guy walking around. It turned out he was out to make money by going home with people and being paid for sex. He told "the exciting aroma" can you guess Who the HOLLYWOOD STAR is??? Some think it's "The Rifleman", and some think it's a .. Ben-Hur" star. HOUSTON PRICE WAR I'm sure most of us can remember the good old days of the gasoline price wars . You know the days when regular was only 24.9¢. Unfortunately the price war that is currently being waged in Houston is not gasoline. To the glee of many, it is mixed drinks! The super bar powers in Houston have once again so benevolently decided to see which bar can hold out the longest and lowered well drink prices to a bare minimum.
