And I have answered some ads, with the same very rewarding results. Your editorial several weeks ago saying that the ads really work was right on target. I had always thought it was a risky sort of thing to advertise or respond to an ad (I think the terms advertise/ad make some people nervous or suspicious, like they weresellingorbuy- ing a product sight unseen). But I and others know better now. I just have this to say to those who have hesitated and have said so to me; the risk is either imaginary or very slight; you have very little to lose and everything to gain. I'm not a rip-off and have not been ripped-off, and don't expect to. Paranoia never got anyone anywhere: freedom or personal satisfaction is a lot easier than you think. Getting to know people -- I mean people, not bodies on a meat rack through this paper sure as heck beats the usual round about way of-getting it on with that "right guy". Give it a try once; at least you won't be let down. To those who make the paper possible, my sincere thanks for the beautiful things you have made possible! G. Waco Texas Page 6
