Transcript w FIG LEAF? Did Adam really wear a fig leaf? If he did, he had problems. Dr. Thomas Smith, a British doctor wore one himself as a test of the old story, and reported that a fig leaf has a --well it's Lrough on the underside - -like sandpaper,;* The tight-assed good (?) folk of Sioux Falls have exposed their tight-assed stupidity for all the world to see. It seems a Dakota born industrialist spent $350,000 for an exact replica of Michelangelo's DAVID, surely one of the most beautiful treasures the civilized christian world possesses. Theoriginal has been unashamedly standing in Florence for centuries. Thousands no millions, of tourist and Italians have admired this necked beauty. But apparently the good folk of Sioux Falls just aren't ready for this. (Will they ever be?) The citizens didn't want to reject this valuable gift, on the other hand they didn't want to gaze upon DAVID's masculine splendor Studi either. So they decided to display the statue from the back side, (the front faces the railroadyards, where there being only afewpass- enger trains nowadays, only the brakemen are likely to see DAVID as Michelangelo intended.) However even DAVID's beautiful butt is too much for some citizens of Sioux Falls. Some want to add fig leaves, others are holding out for boxer shorts. Thank God for the good (?) people of this heart-of-America, apple pie town. Just think how many innocent children have been saved! It's certain that while in Big D you're going to visit the new club, the SPEAKEASY, whose owner's face is seen in the photo alongside this column; in the photos, you will see a large mural which is aphoto taken directly from the wall at the Sundance Kids, a lounge on Maple where you will want to stop and meet some very nice people; the ones who run it...the ones who patronize it. The gal at the keyboard, is in the Mark Twain, relieving the pianist for a few moments. The teeny photo is MissSpeak- easy Halloween, 1973. Bobby. ^H WONDERING WHAT Id 00?
