Making CONNECTIONS With IN TOUCH Did you know Abraham Lincoln was gay? Or Napoleon? Or Dag Hammar- skjold? You would if you read former Texan Jim Kepner's article on pages 70-73 of the June 81 IN TOCICH. Kepner's article also reports recent revelations of the scandal of Tschai- kovsky's forced suicide in 1893 over his gayness. IN TOUCH published a nice advertise ment for CONNECTIONS on page 22 of their June Gay Pride issue. The ad encourages people to subscribe to CONNECTIONS for only S18 a year. (Hint) The CONNECTIONS ad was part of an IN TOCICH feature on the gay press. We quote IN TOUCH: Support your local gay newspaper. Subscribe, advertise, let advertisers know you heard about them because they took an ad in a gay publication. We are called, particularly at this time, to protect our freedom. When you support gay publi cations, you support yourself We couldn't have said it better ourselves. IN TOUCH has a delightfully brash sense of humor The magazine is full of devil-may-care good humor and color photos of gorgeous male hunks. When you combine that humor and sexiness with IN TOUCH'S obvious gay pride and support of the gay liberation movement you get a magazine that is without equal. A sample copy of the current issue costs $3. 1316 N. Western Avenue. Hollywood. CA 90027. IN TOUCH Associate Publisher Don Beavers — you're a sweetheart! '
