The book’s title roughly translates to ‘The architecture of classical antiquity and the Renaissance’ and its subject matter follows suit. There is a brief foreword followed by a discussion of the evolution of Italy’s architecture from antiquity to the Renaissance. These prints include multi-angled examinations of the artistry and integrity of period staples such as columns and decorative etchings. There are three volumes in the series of which this is the first. |
