Transcript | N.O.W. Bay Area Chapter National Organization for Women NEWS VOLUME II, Number 12 December, 197U THE ALCOHOLIC WOMAN PROGRAM MEETING 8:00 P.M. Dec. 5, Uniting Church, El Camina Real and Reseda, Clear Lake City. Are women being "protected from treatment" for alcoholism in Harris County? There are at least 8 publicly-funded treatment centers for alcoholic males, as compared to one for females. This is only one fact concerning treatment opportunities for women, uncovered by the Harris County Conjoint Alcoholism Programming Project, Inc. (H-CAF) which now has a Task Force on alcoholic women. Kay Hutton, Alcoholic Counselor for Opportunity House, and Herbert J. Paine, Executive Director of H-CAP, will discuss the problems of women with alcoholic and other addictions, especially in regard to securing treatment in our area. This is a public service meeting. Guests are welcome. BUSINESS MEETING 8:00 P.M. Dec. 19, Uniting Church, El Camino Real and Reseda, Clear Lake City. ERA strategy and other current projects will be discussed. |
