Have you written to legislators in unratified states and/or sent a check to NOW ERA Fund? If not, take a few minutes right now. If you need information, call me at 488-3278. D0NfT FORGET TO VOTE IN TODAYfS PRIMARY!! May 3, 10, 16, k 24 ERA ACTION TEAM - Need your help to write letters and fundralse by phone. (Note? these are Mondays except for Sunday the 16th). Call Sandy Anderson for times and location, 554-6416. PLEASE!! Saturdays in May - Every Saturday we will be in Baybrook Mall with an information table for leafletting and getting petition signatures. We need people to staff the table. No more than two (2) hours per person. We will have sign-up sheets at meetings, but why not avoid the rush and call me now and volunteer. We have this agreement with Baybrook Mall for every Saturday till June 30 or ratification. Yes, in the long run we did win this one! May 8 League City Village Fair - we have an information booth at the Fair and we need & 9 volunteers not only to staff it (no more than 2-hour shifts) but to help set it up I the day before. Call me or sign up at a meeting. May 15 WORKSHOP - THE ART OF PUBLIC SPEAKING - 9*30 a.m. - 12 Noon, UH/CLC, free or a very small fee. Open to non-members, so bring your friends. This is for everyone whose knees quiver at the thought of speaking to more than two people at once! It will be very informative and entertaining. We have Anne G. Layden who has had over 50 years experience in public speaking and teaching public speaking. Call me. For information and housing coordination, call me. May 27 ON GOLDEN POND - Clear Creek Country Theatre, League City, 8:15 P- curtain. THIS IS A MAJOR FUNDRAISER FOR THE CHAPTER. We have raised up to $1000 with previous Theatre nights and with your help, we can do it again. If each of you sells only four (4) tickets, or raises the equivalent in donations, we will make our goal. Let's fill the house, enjoy an extraordinary play, and raise necessary funds for our activities all at the same time. Price to be announced. June 12 TASK FORCE SEMINAR - How to organize, run, and fund a task force, UH/Central. More details in the June newsletter.
