Transcript BYLAWS NATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR WOflEN, INC. - TEXAS I. NAME; The name of this organization shall be National Organization for Women, Inc. - Texas, to be known as Texas N.O.W. II. PURPOSE; The purpose of Texas N.O.W. shall be to further the purposes and policies of the National Organization for Women, Inc. (N.O.W.) in the State of Texas, and to: A. Establish a vehicle for coordinated state action; B. Foster understanding by exchange of information and ideas among N.O.W. members in the State of Texas; C. Assist the growth of membership and of N.O.W. chapters in the State of Texas; and D. Facilitate coordination between N.O.W. chapters in the State of Texas and the national N.O.W. office and national N.O.W. officers. III. MEMBERSHIP: The membership of Texas N.O.W. shall be composed of all persons whose dues have been paid to N.O.W., Inc., and to Texas N.O.W. and who reside in the State of Texas. IV. STRUCTURE: The structure of Texas N.O.W. shall consist oil • A. The State Convention; B. The State Council, which shall consist of: 1. The State Officers; 2. One delega.-o from each chapter or convening chapter in Texas whose membership includes at least ten (10) Texas N.O.W. members. In addition, each chapter with more than fifty (50) Texas N.O.W. members shall have an additional delegate for every adaitional fifty (50) Texas N.O.W. members or fraction thereof.
