We welcomed Sandy Warren and Pat Sprouse, Pat Kuhlman announced: Elaine Kinzywith Northwest NOW Chapter needs volunteers for help with Mike Andrews campaign, please contact her at 376-2736 to volunteer. Sarah (Sally) Stewart is hospitalized and donations of blood are needed to replace what has been used. Contact Pat Kuhlman for more information W I NWomens Information Network, a womens clearinghouse has a 24 hour call back service. They want information on womens groups. Jeanne Saletan reported that'125.00 dollars is due to the chapter from E-R-A-. We will sell bumper stickers and tee shirts at the E. R.A. Rally on 11-2=80 and to other chapters. Marshalls are needed for the Rally and an organizational meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 27,1980 at the Y W C A at 6:30, 3515 Allen Parkway giving training. Dorothy Howard volunteered to be an alternate to Texas State Council. Marjorie Randall announced the possibility of the 1st week in March for Womens Week at UHCLC with Gloria Stein em as possible guest speaker. Pat announced puoncity ideas, making a packet for 'Welcome Wagon" and getting more press releases. Dana and Pat will co-ordinate. Fundraising ideas were discussed: a Chinese auction at the Christmas party and the possibility of presenting the play "Cactus Flower" at Clear Creek Country Theatre. NOVEMBER, 1980 According to the Labor Department, women who support their families earn less than half (46.9 percent) the amount earned by male breadwinners. Bureau of Labor Statistics data show that husbands who are sole family wage earners averaged $322 per week or $16,744 per year, while wives as sole earners averaged only $151 per week or $7,852 per year. The department reports that this is the first time that figures relating workers' earnings to the families in which they live have been released. The figures were disclosed by Bureau Commissioner Janet Norwood's office to "provide a better understanding of living conditions the entrance of large numbers of women into the work force." —Deborah Bonetti
