Transcript | PICNIC WITH N.O.W.! Our next "program meeting" will be a picnic in Hermann Park Wednesday, June 6. N.O.W. members, friends, and interested folk are invited to bring sack suppers, curiosity, and/or fun-loving energy to the covered picnic area (see map below) starting at 5:30 p.m. and continuing till dark. A TIME FOR ACTION—SUMMARY: MAY 10 BUSINESS MEETING Members of Houston Area N.O.W.: Voted to initiate the formation of a coalition of interested groups to work toward informing the public about the E.R.A. and motivating the public to write Congress in favor of H.J. Res. 638. Also, members allocated up to $100 for this purpose with the understanding that other groups in the coalition will contribute likewise. Renee Rabb special dispensation to in affirming support for woman's her reproductive matters, and who oppose this legal choice. Provided Barbara Cigainero and publicly represent the chapter fundamental right to choose in decrying the tactics of people 3. Planned a N.O.W.-sponsored Feminist Picnic for Wednesday, June 6, at Hermann Park. 4. Applauded Kathy Fitrakis as chapter coordinator for the 1978 Texas public school textbook review (her phone: 682-7656 . . . volunteer reviewers needed!). |
