MINI-REVIEW: THE RAPE BOOK
Against Our Will: Men, Women and Rape by Susan Brownmiller, Simon & Schuster, $10.95.
Per Susan Wood of the Cronk, "not just about the act of rape but, more fundamentally,
about the relationships between men and women...thoroughly researched, carefully
cu documented and lucidly written, a work of stunning originality which goes far beyond
oo the statistics of rape to challenge some of society's most accepted assumptions."
(Chapter members so seldom have an opportunity to talk with each other and know
about each other's lives. This feature focusses on an individual member.)
ANETA DAVIS - 301 G. St., Apt. 803, Washington, DC 20023
Aneta Davis has been selected for training under the NASA Headquarters Career
Development Program in Washington, D.C. The memo informing Aneta of her nomination
by JSC in June of this year stated "Your selection is an indication that your
organization and Center management recognize the contributions that you have made
to the work of the Center and belieye that; you have the potential to make even
greater contributions in the future." The final selection of around 20 persons
was made after an agency-wide competition. Aneta, a program analyst since 1969,
resided in Washington from 1963-66 where she was employed as a speech writer
and researcher. Her duties included the writing of speeches, articles, radio and
TV addresses, news releases, and reports for members of Congress. Good luck, Aneta!
