Bigotry, discrimination, hatred, prejudice and lies are alive and well and living in Houston. I am angry that people I love very much, who have chosen a lifestyle different from mine, must endure yet another blow to their egos, their economic capacity, their intelligence, their freedom, their autonomy, their very lifehood. We can only live in hope that the pendulum will swing back to the principles of tolerance, justice, equality, acceptance, live-and let live. I am bitter that the mindless response to those referenda has been made possible by the ugly, repressive, narrow-minded, bigoted administration that we unfortunately will have to endure for another four years. Repression and intolerance have apparently been the only items to 'trickle down" from the White House to those who can be swayed by monied distorted media hype and inflammatory fallacious rhetoric. -6-
