Transcript Major events include remarks by Joan Rivers about her movie "Rabbit Test" on Monday, January 30. Other evening events will include Twiss Butler (of Bay Area N.O.W.) and her review of the book Not in God's Image, Tuesday. There will also be "What Have You Done for Me Lately?", a play produced by the Houston Women Center Tuesday evening. Later, a workshop for women in crisis is scheduled that night. A critique of the National Women's Conference will be offered Wednesday evening. Thursday evening a panel discussion about the two-career marriage will be held. Friday Betty Friedan will be a featured speaker at 8 p.m. in the UH/CLC auditorium. Tickets, which may be purchased at the door, will be: University of Houston students, $2; other students, $3; and general public, $4. 4 A full schedule of Women's Week activities, including times and places of events and a daytime activity schedule, can be obtained by phoning the Women's Resources Center at 488-9216. ♦A TIME FOR ACTION — SUMMARY: JANUARY 11 BUSINESS MEETING Members of Houston Area N.O.W.: 1. Voted to send our E.R.A. funds ($330) to Virginia N.O.W. for use in their efforts to secure ratification. 2. Decided to conduct a local effort to discourage people from traveling to Louisiana (a non-ratified state) for Mardi Gras. An ad will be placed in Southwest Greensheet. Members are also asked to place a poster in their car windows saying "Support E.R.A. -- Boycott Mardi Gras." People are also asked to write the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce and inform its members of cancelled travel plans to Louisiana. 3. Elected delegates to the state N.O.W. council. Delegates are: Linda Jones, Jo Stewart, and Yvonne Broach. Alternate delegates are: Judy Graham and Marge Brown. ♦ BUSINESS MEETING The February 8 business meeting will be held at the University of Texas School of Public Health, 6905 Bertner, Room 102(see map below). It will begin at 7:30 p.m.
