ERA STATUS REPORT H.C.R. 57 aims torescind our state's ratification of the ERA. It has been submitted to the Constitutional Revision Committee, chaired by Ray Hutchison of Dallas. He is a proponent of ERA, but recently said his flood of letters against ERA makes it necessary to consider the opposition seriously. He needs letters from each of us, to let him know how serious we are about keepinp our equal rightsl COME TO AUSTIN APRIL 14 --WE NEED YOU 111 Please make every effort to be in Austin for these hearings. The opposition recently had 400 people at the Capitol. We must have more than that on April 14. This may sound like a game of numbers to you - "more letters," "more peoplef" but I urge you to remember, it's a "game" that no woman or man in Texas can a afford to lose 111 For Equality, Frances |
