Transcript | HCWPC Harris County Women's Political Caucus 3602 mlam houston 77002 (713)524-5743 NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER - 1975 The HCWPC NEWSLETTER'S Vice Chair-Internal, Helen Hopkins has resigned her position to run for PUBLIC OFFICE. HELEN HOPKINS is running 'for CITY COUNCIL WOMAN in District "E" . She needs our help and support. Call Helen Hopkins at 644-364 3 and volunteer to do our share for one of our Caucus members to represent us in City Council. WOMAN OF THE YEAR AAUW is planning to select an outstanding woman as Woman Of The Year. Nominations are to be submitted through your Chapter President. Deadline for nominations is September 12. FEDERALLY EMPLOYED WOMEN SEMINAR FEW is having a Seminar and the theme is "Equal Partners". It will be held on September 19 and 20 at the Johnson Spacecraft Center, Gilruth Facility. Registration is at 8:00 A.M., the 19th, the seminar is from 8:45 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., cost is $9.00 one or both days. If interested call Mazell Lee, business phone 226-4827 and home phone 674-2321. AUGUST 2 6 CELEBRATION The celebration of the passage of the 19th Amendment for Women1 suffrage was a success. We would all like to thank the Northwest, Southwest, and Inner City NOW Chapters for their parts in the celebration. A special THANKS to everyone who took part in the Pageant of American Women presented by Southwest NOW. |
