Transcript STATE COUNCIL The Texas NOW Council met in the State Capitol Building in Austin on Saturday, November 20. The Council elected a new State Communications Coordinator, Pam Summers of Gregg County NOW, 608 E. Melton, Longview 75601 . The state newsletter is now accepting ads. Write Pam for rates. Subscriptions to the Texas NOW newsletter are $3. Make checks payable to Texas NOW and send them to Pam. Council members discussed state task forces, fundraising generally and for keeping the ERA, the 1977 state convention, and the National NOW Women's State of the Union Action for January 13, 1977. Barbara Duke, State Coordinator, and Austin NOW will coordinate the corresponding Texas NOW activity for the capital. Amarillo has a new chapter, growing by leaps & bounds. Killeen's chapter is re-forming. Brazos County sent 3 members. El Paso reported on marvelous fund- raising projects. Dallas County has just opened an office. Sisters from all over the state had good things to share. Houston Area NOW delegates were Renee Rabb, Nancy Kuykendall, Jan Pierce and Catherine Livingston. a wish for all seasons... ... that all people everywhere will attain their birthright of equality.
