INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S YEAR FESTIVITIES PLANNED The United Nations has declared 1975 to be International Women's Year,and the Houston chapter of the United Nations Association has assembled an Ad Hoc Committee to plan local activities throughout the year. The "launch date" will be Saturday, January 11. In the morning, there will be the First and Last International Kite Flying, Paper Airplane, and Canine Frisbee-Catching-Contest in Memorial Park} great prizes, and free balloons far all. In the afternoon, Barbara Jordan will be the opening speaker at the symposium to be held at the Susan B. Anthony Ballroom of the Rice Hotel. That night, a cocktail party will begin at 8 at the Contemporary Arts Museum—$2 for drinks. Keep your eyes and ears open far details in the newspapers and on radio and TV. WINE AND CHEESE WITH MARIA ISABEL BARRENO Maria Isabel Barreno, one of the internationally known "Three Marias" attacked by the Portuguese government, will be visiting in Houston in late January.
