When God gave women their 'beautiful and exalted" place to fill — why did he also subject women to drudgery, abuse and humiliation? Why did he make her the target of ridicule and place her in bondage? Why are women, looking down from their perch, discriminated against in education, job placement and in every aspect of daily life?
