Business Meeting June 18,1980 Members present were Evie Whitsett, Peggy Cook, Dana Kelly, Dorothy Howard, Nancy Whitecotton and Susan Lab At the June program meeting it was announced by Phyllis Tucker that A Corpus Christi NOW member was hit by a car and blood donations were urgently needed. Donna K. Vogt died on 6/5/80, and donations are still needed. Call Clear Lake Hospital at 332-2511 for an appointment between 11:00 and 5:45 P.M. Mon. or Wed. Please desiginate the donation for her and contact Phyllis Tucker 944-0033 for more information. The possibly of having a postcard made from a slide, from the ERA March, Chicago, May 10 was discussed as a fundraiser. Peggy Cook, Betty Yancey and Lynn McGregor will head the committee for further discussion. Jean Saletan is working with WIRES as a possibility in listing their phone as a Bay Area NOW contact. A volunteer is needed to help persuade as they have not committed it as of yet and their volunteers are understaffed. For more information can contact Jean Saletan. A discussion on a possible demonstration at Reagan headquarters was discussed with Evie Whitsett, Dana Kelly and Jean Saletan as the task force. "We can!t let him take the A out of the ERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Announcements: The chapter received a mailing on "Women taking care of their car. " From National-a booklet on Having an ERA Walkathon. A big sister is needed as a contact person for visitors at meetings. Contact-Evie Whitsett-488-1777.
