Transcript Page 6 BROADSIDE Tune 1974 CONSCIOUSNESS RAISING During the past several weeks I have heard many different kinds of things about the CR groups that are currently functioning and the problems or lack of problems they were experiencing. I want and need feedback from everyone who is currently in a CR group for planning purposes and I also want and need input from all of you who want to be in a CR group. Please answer the following questions and mail to 4013 Lanark Lane, 77025 or leave them at the Women's Center for me. For those currently in CR: 1. What did you expect from CR? 2. Have your expectations been met? 3. What are the major problems your group has had? How did you deal with them? 4. What are the major highlights of your group? 5. On a scale of 1 - 10, how would you rate your group with 1 being excellent and 10 being poor? 6. How many times have you acted as a facilitator in your group? 7. Other. For those who want to be in CR: 1. What do you want and expect to get from CR? 2. What do you think CR is? 3. How do you think a CR group should be formed and run? 4. What do you think the purpose of CR is or should be? 5. Other. Please do it NOW. I need feedback and input I can work with for planning. Helen Copitka ART SHOW "Some Other Artists", the outstanding result of much hard work by Charlotte Moser and the Women in the Arts Task Force, was held at Allen Center May 6-30. It was Houston's first show for women artists, organized by women. The 23 Houston area women artists showed works which meet the highest standards demanded in the male-dominated art world and demonstrated the diversity and richness of women's imaginations. The purposes of the show were to prove the seriousness of the artist-participants and organizers, and to provide a positive example for young women considering careers in art. A third purpose was served incidentally in providing a source of pride for Houston feminists. FEMINIST RETREAT The feminist retreat is the weekend of Tune 14-15 at Camp Warnecke, New Braunfels. Cabins are still available - air conditioned cabins are $7.34 for two nights and non-air conditioned are $7.00 for two nights. We will swim, sun and have fun. Sign up at the Women's Center or contact Tudy Stroud for more information.
