Transcript You already know about Breakthrough newspaper, now here's the word on BREAKTHROUGH FOUNDATION Breakthrough Foundation is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of providing scholarships, grants and other types of support for women in media. Though a separate entity from the paper, we are a "sister" organization and share many of the same concerns. 1. The first fund raising project of the foundation is a 1978 appointment calendar titled "Woman: Inner Reflections" and it's currently receiving "good press" in local, regional and national med ia. The calendar is of superior quality, featuring more than 50 dramatic photographs of women from the portfolios of Texas photographers. Size is 8" x 8i" - with ample room for writing daily schedules. The price is $6.95> plus 5% state tax. We hope you will buy one for yourself AND several for gifts this season. They are available at the Breakthrough offices, 1708 Rosewood, and at 30 stores and shops in Houston. 2. We also are selling commemorative issues of Breakthrough newspaper, which provided daily coverage of the National Women's Conference. This project received no outside funding and was financed entirely by the advertising sales efforts of Janice Blue, Gabrielle Cosgriff and their volunteer staff. It was distributed free at the conference. These sets of three daily issues will be of special interest to libraries, women's work study programs and virtually anyone wi th a sense of history. The price is just $3.00> plus tax, for all 10*4 pages. We earnestly solicit your assistance with both these projects. You can help by buying these items, of course, and you can also help by putting us in touch with additional stores and shops which will be willing to sell the items for us. (We allow a 25% commission and are interested in outlets everywhere.) Call us at 526-025*4 or write us at Box 88072, Houston 7700*4. Mail orders will be filled promptly. Just add $1.00 for cost of mailing each calendar and 70c for mailing each set of newspapers, BREAKTHROUGH FOUNDATION - supporting women in media Paid advertisement
