Transcript being undertaken to provide for those realities. In each instance, time, effort, Involvement were called for. None of this will change. Principles recognized, rights secured, days won can slip away and drop from sight as the months succeed one another. The only constant is the commitment of those to whom the principles matter enough to come back and rise again for the winning of each new day. An enervating task, this, and one requiring periodic infusion of new blood. As President throughout the past year, Renee Rabb has given more than her share of blood (spirit, intelligence, toil). Linda Jones has answered the telephone, taken the messages, returned the calls; think on that for a moment and consider the magnitude of the responsibility of that ringing telephone. Nancy Kuykendall has kept our mailing list up-to-date and prepared the address labels month after month, another responsibility taken, and often taken for granted. Looking back on a year ended is an appropriate time to thank people. Looking ahead to the year coming — someone fresh is needed to keep the telephone; someone new is needed to take charge of the Broadside. New blood and new hands for old jobs and continuing commitments. If it matters to you, offer yourself. If it matters enough to someone, the telephone will remain connected, the newsletter will continue to be sent. If you don't hear froa us again, you'll know what happened. Let's hear it for 1978.
