Transcript MARSHA CARTER ALICE RICKEL Freeda Fix - it Studio of Flowers Dried and <S\\V. Flowers 4Z35 5AHFEUPE &Z3-W3 by Jan Tarver Sisters, you don't have to be Ms. Goodwrench. There are just certain things every woman should know about her car or truck. If all you know is, "gas, turn the key and go," but would like to know more, be glad you have this Breakthrough. In this issue and in issues to come, you can see and learn the simple A, B, C's of auto repairs. REPLACING A HEADLIGHT When buying a headlight, all you need to know is your auto's make and year (1971 Ford Mustang, for example). Then your parts person can supply you with the correct headlight for your auto. Always check for visible defects before leaving the store. You will also need a regular size Phillips screwdriver and a smaller one. STEP1 With the regular sized remove the frame surrounding the headlight. Be careful where you place screws after you remove them. STEP 2 Here you'll find a round frame holding the headlight in. To remove it, take out only the smaller screws with your smaller screwdriver. STEP 3 Disconnect the bulb. NOTE: it can only be disconnected and reconnected one way. STEP 4 After reconnecting the bulb, be sure to position the number on top of the bulb attop center. Holding the bulb in top center position, screw the inner frame back on. Then screw your outer frame on. The whole process takes about ten minutes. Women of KPFT know how to boogie Support feminist programming while supporting Houston's community radio station, KPFT. The station needs a $5 (min. $2) commitment per month/per subscriber to stay on the air. Here is a reason to lend that kind of support-the station's feminist radio guide for the month of June: Sugar and Spice is a feminist guest and talk show. (Saturdays from 9 to 10 a.m., host, Alice Rickel) Women of KPFT Know How to Boogie is a talk and music show. (Saturdays 8 p.m. to midnight, host, Marsha Carter with Alice Rickel) Movement Theory is thoughts, feelings and issues about women. (Sundays 3 to 4 p.m., host, Marsha Carter) Morning News (anchored by Alice Rickel, Women's New Director, KPFT. (Weekdays, 7 and 8 a.m.) Scintillating Headlines is an informal discussion about news, with Alice Rickel and her friend, Freddie. (Weekdays at 8:30 p.m.) Be sure to call in during the Station Managers Report (Saturdays at noon) and voice support for the KPFT feminists and feminist programming. (Letters are read over the air.) Those of you who have grown weary of cosmic cowboy music and concerts will be glad to know there are some changes at our community radio station. When you send in your subscription be sure to indicate why you are supporting the station's new direction.
