Pokey Anderson invites you to a potluck picnic in Memorial Park July 27, Sunday, from noon until everybody flakes out. Bring your mellow friends of whatever persuasion, anatomy, age or species. Also bring some food to share. If it rains (it wouldn't dare) we'll have to remind Her what we have planned. To get to the party, take Memorial Drive into the park. Turn north onto East Memorial Loop at the signal, then veer right onto Arnot. Look for the purple "P" signs. See you there. Our traditional feminist retreat has been scheduled for the weekend of September 13-14 at Camp Warneke in New Braunfels. Eight air-conditioned cabins have been reserved and each will accommodate eight people. A big $7 will cover the cost of a cabin for Friday & Saturday nights, providing you get seven other people to show up to share your cabin. Judy Stroud (528-7707) is organizing the event so give her a call to get your name on the list. She will be at the Program Meeting July 2 to collect money. There will also be a sign-up sheet at the Center. Bring your bikini and float down the Comal River to your heart's content. 14 |
