Women's Network-Achieving Intimacy - The Give
and Take of Staying Together. Opposites attract, but
do they always stay together9 In tonight's presentation
by feminist therapist Demse O'Doherty, LPC, LCDC,
LMFT, RN singles and couples can explore how we
can develop true intimacy as an essential ingredient for
satisfying, healthy and loving relationships. We will
explore: why opposites attract; how to assess intimacy;
how to overcome blocks which keep us from getting
what we want m relationships, dealing with jealousy.
IMAGO relationshop techniques will also be
presented. The Women's Network meets on 2nd & 4th

The Legal Basics of Working for Yourself Attorney
Kathy A. Biehl will conduct a seminar on the legal
basics of self-employment explaining sole
proprietorships, partnerships, corporations and limited
liability companies; how to protect a business name;
and critical but often overlooked tax and insurance
issues. 7:30pm at The Spectrum Center, 4100
Westheimer, Suite 235. The cost is $35 ($30 before
August 3). Ms. Biehl, who has been self-employed
since 1982, is a Houston attorney with a private solo
practice. An honors graduate of The University of
Texas School of Law, she has taught at Rice University
and The University of Houston Law Center. Her
articles on legal and practical matters have appeared in
The American Bar Association Journal and other
