Transcript | NOW NEWS Bay Area Chapter National Organization for Women VOLUME II, Number 5, May, 1974 PROGRAM MEETING May 2, 1974 Thursday U.ofH. at Cear Lake City (formerly U.ofH. Grad Center) 7:30 P.M. TOPIC: SEXIST JUSTICE with Karen DeCrow, author of Sexist Justice, member of the National Board of N.O.W. and chairperson of the Politics Task Force. CONFERENCE PLANS We have undertaken two major functions for the N.O.W. National Conference, 1974: registration and conference kits. Both are going well. Registrations are running well ahead of the same pre-Conference period last year, and volunteer typists have been hard at work transferring information to registration cards. Anyone who wishes to share in this work should be registered for the Conference. Call Marge Randal at 488-4396 to volunteer. Six persons have signed on to work the registration desk in the Crystal Ballroon at the Rice Hotel between 5:00 P.M. and 12:00 midnight on the 24th. In order that no one shall have to work longer than two hours, we need about 10 more persons to woman the four lines. You will be the fi*st official contact for most Conference arrivals, an important position. Most of the material for the Conference Kits is already printed. We are awaiting only the delivery of 6000 folders donated by Montgomery Ward to call a Gigantic Packet- Stuffing Evening, which will require about two dozen of us for several hours. We're going to make it a blast! |
