Mediation allows a couple to control and determine the decision making process. Mediation is an alternative to the adversarial legal system. Mediation encourages and enhances communication which resolves conflict both during and after divorce. Mediation assumes that "both parents are capable and responsible and therefore have the right to decide their children's future. Mediation does not involve costly and prolonged litigation. Mediation helps to restructure the family unit. WHAT ISSUES ARE MEDIATED? Division of Fi\ rty, Spousal and Child Support, Child Custody, Visitation and Co-parenting. WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE?
