Transcript NEW EFFORTS ON BEHALF CF NEW MEMBERS We are in the process of doing several things to provide better services for new members.ORIENTATION: attendance at Monday night orientation sessions has fallen off rather drastically. We are re-evaluating the orientations, thinking of updating some topics and adding new ones. Call in your suggestions to Jan Dilbeck. The purpose of the orientations is to provide background material both to new members and to non-members who are interested in the women's movement. NEW MEMBER KITS: About April 1, kits will be available far new members (and old members who want them), The kits will contain copies of national and local by-laws, our statement of purpose, a history of the Houston Area NOW Chapter, and a bibliography of recommended books on feminism. These will be available free to new members and at cost to old members. PERSONAL CONTACTS: We will try hard to meet and chat with new members at chapter meetings. Also, new members will be called shortly after they join, inviting them to meetings and offering any information they might want. CHILD CARE TASK FORCE TO PROVIDE BABYSITTERS The Child Care Task Force will provide babysitters during all NOW business and program meetings.
