not to your local treasurer. This saves your treasurer extra
work. Texas is now a Central Dues Collection state.
AT THIS WRITING, TEXAS NOW COORDINATOR PHYLLIS TUCKER IS CALLING
for a boycott of Lewis & Coker stores, which are offering a
raise of over $3.00 to meatcutters, and a salary lowering of
$3.00 per hour to meat wrappers, all women. The meat wrappers
are taking their case to EEOC. Watch for further info.
TEXAS NOW HAS FORMED A NEW TASK FORCE, WOMEN AND RELIGION.
Headed by Sandy Warren, this task force hopes to meet after
State Council January 10.
DEBBIE TATE HAS OFFERED TO EDIT BROADSIDE/HERIZONS, thus taking
a GREAT BURDEN off the present editor. (Just kidding, Debbie,
it's really a breeze I) Debbie will need everyone's cooperation and help in her new endeavor. Debbie is a member of
the Northwest Chapter of NOW. I have enjoyed being editor
of BROADSIDE/HERIZONS tremendously; I love to write, and will
continue to do so. I especially want to thank Gail Hilliard,
who has taught me so much, and who, along with her partner,
Michelle Pujols, has put so much into BROADSIDE/HERIZONS.
