Transcript MINUTES OF BAY AREA NOV BUSINESS MEETING. JANUARY 23t I960 Aluminum for ERA was given to Betty Yancey and all members are encouraged to save their aluminum cans for recycling, Jeanne Saletan, ERA task force chair, asked that members clip and respond to all articles which they see about ERA. in newspapers and magazines, Jeanne also reported that the ERA Action Team is having good support from all members and has received good reception from the public. Continued assistance from all Chapter members is needed. Members were encouraged by Pat Kuhlmann to watch "The $5.20 An Hour Dream" to be aired on Channel 11 on January 26, 1980, at 8:00 p.m. Calls and letters to the station should be made. Pat also asked that all members express their dissatisfaction with the program "Three's A Crowd." A survey from Huntsvllle NOW concerning workshops at the state conference in May was passed around for members opinions. Evie Whitsett stated that Elizabeth Glenn and Twlss Butler would be doing a workshop at the conference on "Sexism in Textbooks." Evie announced that for the February meeting we will be back in the Uniting Church. A very special 'thank you* to the churches which allowed us to meet in their buildings. It was voted by the members to sponsor the Mary Wollstonecraft plate at the 'Dinner Party" exhibit. Members are encouraged to donate whatever they can afford towards the purchase of the plate. The motion was made and seconded to supplement up to $250.00 from the treasury in case the Chapter does not come up with the full amount. Discussion was held as to the next fundraiser. To gain full participation from the Chapter, it was decided that a fundraising committee be established. Jean Bettencourt was elected as Bay Area NOW delegate to the Women's Rights Coordinating Council. Respectfully submitted, Phyllis Tucker Members present: Phyllis A.
