Transcript Bay Area NOW Minutes - January 3t 1980 Gail Anderson, Presiding Gall Anderson - More members are needed for the Welcoming Committee now composed of Gail Anderson and Bonnie Huval. Sandra Anderson volunteered to help. Fvie Whitsett - Letters including ERA and BANOW information have gone out thanking all those who contributed to the fundraiser "Butterflies Are Free." If anyone has extra copies of the BANOW history, please give them to Evie. Anyone who helped with the fundraiser and hasn't received their button can pick one up from Evie. Two people are giving up BANOW responsibilities this month. Melissa Weiksnar has been a very competent editor of the newsletter for a year. Sandra Linton will assume the editorial responsibilities for three months. Judy Blanchard has done an excellent job of handling BANOW publicity and Peggy Cook will take over from Judy. Jeanne Saletan ERA action committee needs volunteers to staff telephones and participate in writing letters. Get togethers are Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 - 9 p.m. in the evenings. Call Jeanne Saletan at ^71-2862 for details. Phyllis Tucker - February 2, 1980 - Texas NOW State Council, San Antonio, Texas BANOW is entitled to two (2) votes. March 29, BANOW is hosting State Council. Location has not been decided. Urge involvement of the whole Chapter. Needs are for: Food, coffee, soft frinks, child care, and overnight accommodations for those staying to see the "Dinner Party." Members of the Committee working on arrangements are: Dorothy Howard, Rema Lou Brown, Sonia Doty, Nora Mertz, and Wendy Fudnicki. Miscellaneous A packet of Information on child abuse and one from People Against Rape and Abuse (PARA) are available from Fvie. BANOW has received a mailing from National on Reproductive Rights. Jeanne Saletan spoke of the possibilities of reproductive rights setbacks (cites recent setbacks in Israel, France and Mexico). A motion was made and passed that the BANOW Chapter donate $100 to National for action on Reproductive Rights.
