Transcript NATIONAL BYLAWS HEARING Betty Barnes spoke at the National NOW Bylaws Hearing in Dallas April 10. She presented Houston Area NOW's suggestions for new National Bylaws. The hearing was poorly attended. Chapters represented were Houston Area, Longview, Dallas, Southwest Houston, and Brazos County. Bylaws Commissioners from Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Tennessee were present to conduct the hearing. DUAL MEMBERSHIP Some members of Houston Area NOW are also members of other NOW chapters in Texas. For purposes of determining the number of delegates each chapter may send to the State Council, each Texas NOW member may be counted as a member of only one chapter. If you hold membership in more than one chapter, please advise the State Treasurer in writing of the chapter in which you wish to be counted.
