Transcript TEXAS WOMEN'S POLITICAL CAUCUS Newsletter Volume 4, Number 2 October, 1975 % ^VOTER REGISTRATION INFORMATION The 64th legislature passed a bill, S.E. 300, which will require that every person registered to vote in Texas will have to be reregistered in order to keep voting in the future. Under this bill, each person who is eligible to vote In the Nov. 4, 1975, constitutional amendments election is to be mailed a notice that his or her registration is to expire on March 1, 1976. Included with this notice is to be an application for a new registration certificate which, if returned to the tax assessor-collector by Jan. 31> 1976, will automatically reregister the applicant. IF THE REGISTRANT DOES NOT MOVE OR OTHERWISE BECOME UNQUALIFIED, THIS NEW REGISTRATION WILL BE GOOD FOREVER. The new registration application will ask several questions not previously required. For example, women who use their husband's last name will be required to register using thier first name, their maiden name
