Transcript FEBRUARY MEETINGS There will be no meeting on the first Thursday of this month. Instead, we urge all of you to attend as much as you can of the Women's Week activities at the University of Houston at Clear Lake ca"»rus. There will be a meeting of Houston Area N.O.W. on Thursday, Feb. 8, at 7*00 p.m. at the World Trade Center, 1520 Texas. The action meeting will be followed by a program at 8:00 p.m. on the subject of "Women's Rights: Rape and Marriage". Speakers will include Gail Padgett from Houston Rape Crisis Coalition and three women attorneys involved with the problem of rape: Kris Moore with the Appellate Court, Tana Daughtrey who is an assistant D.A. with the 17*+th District Court, and Michael O'Connor who is with the U.S. Attorney's office and who is currently rewriting rape legislation. The discussion will include implications of the Rideout case and the status of rape legislation today.
