Transcript | THAT WE MAY BE HEARD CM Texas N.O.W. now has a full-time lobbyist in Austin. She is Rhonda Belt, a graduate student at the University of Texas with two degrees from Southern Methodist University. Having worked extensively with the YWCA, Rhonda is well qualified to represent Texas N.O.W. to our state legislators. Our new lobbyist was one of many articulate feminist candidates interviewed by the committee which had been appointed by the state coordinator last November to interview and hire the most qualified applicant for the position. This move is an important step for Texas N.O.W. and for all concerned with the legislation that may issue forth from the current legislative session. It is an opportunity for us to be heard. |
