Transcript MARCH PROGRAM MEETING This month's program will feature representatives from all the N.O.W. chapters in the Houston area as they present descriptions of their various projects. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m., March 1, at the coach house of the Clayton Library at 5300 Caroline. LETTER OF THE MONTH This month's recipient of our letter of the month "award" is Billy Reagan, Superintendent of Houston Independent School District. N.O.W. members are urged to write Mr. Reagan and encourage, through his influence, HISD to allow Linda Williams, a Wheatley High School student, to play on the school's baseball team. The ruling by the University Interscholastic League denying her the right to play violates Title IX guidelines and should be challenged by HISD. HISD's athletic program for girls is not equal to that for boys. It should be improved but in the meanwhile this inequality entitles Linda to play on the baseball team. N.O.W. members are also asked to persuade at least two friends to write the superintendent about this issue.
