The theme was "Unity and More in '84." Forty-six NOW members from across the state marched in the parade. Along the route which spanned Westheimer from Shepnerd to Bagby, we garnered many cheers and much support that put smiles on our red, hot faces. Among the participants we had two National NOW board members, two previous Texas NOW Presidents, most of the elected officers in the state organization, task force chairs, and the entire Texas NOW Lesbian Rights Task Force. Seven of our own members were present including; Kerry Ellison, Judi Hoffman, Bonnie Huval, Liz Mast, Judy Snyder, Phyllis Tucker and 3etty Yancy. SNAKE Tales'" by Sols |
