Transcript With the federal gay rights bill (HR 5452) pending in Congress, NOW decided that 1975 was the time to act. We resolved to make lesbian rights a national priority this year, with priority funding of $4000 to $5000. (This compares to far less than $1000 in past years.) Back on the ranch, your local S&L coordinators, Marion Friedman (667-9507) and Pokey Anderson (528-1859) are eager to revitalize the task force. THERE WILL BE NO S&L TASK FORCE MEETING IN DECEMBER. But bring your fresh input and rested bodies in January, Or call before then to throw around some ideas. In the meantime, don't forget to get off your note of encouragement to Senator John Tower (Russell Senate Office Building, Suite 142, Washington, DC 20510). The National Gay Task Force says we're making progress on him and that his attitude looks encouraging on the federal gay rights bill. The support of a conservative Republican leader such as Tower could really pull more votes in. Pokey Anderson Now in two locations. The Village 2526 Rice Blvd. 524-0057 10-6 Mon-Sat.
