First he asked me if I ever fooled around, then he asked me what kind of birth control I used. I didn't answer either question. He invited me to have a drink with him after work. I refused. When he tried to put his arms around me, I decided I had had enough, so I reported him to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and filed a complaint. It was a hard thing to do, but I had to do it so he wouldn't pull the same stuff with his next secretary. I work for the state and was immediately transferred to another Job where I'm very happy. Don't ask me how they found out, but the people in the office I left know that I filed a sexual harassment complaint against the boss. Now, whenever I see my former co-workers, I feel uncomfortable because they laugh and make Jokes about the circumstances under which I left. To me it was a serious matter and I had to put a stop to it. DO yo^ think I did the right thing In filing that complaint? And why do they try to make me feel guilty? ( r - UPSET DEAR UPSET: You did the right thing In filing that complaint. Trying to make the victim feel guilty la a cruel game some people play. Don't let It get to you. Working women everywhere would do well to follow your courageous example.
