This class focuses on the basics of Herb Growing in Houston. We will cover the why and how of raised bed gardening, what to plant and when to plant, basic organic practices, gardening books written for Houston, and the best cookbooks for exploring the culinary world of Herbs. You will be introduced to 30 culinary herbs and given notes on how to successfully grow and cook with them. You will receive a booklet of gardening tips and a herb plant to begin your garden. Just in time to prepare it for Mother's Day, this class will give you sweet recipes and teach you how to create your own blends for all the special occasions in your life. You will leave this class with a sample of the potpourri made during the class.
