This illuminating panel discussion was coordinated by Sonia Carmean and moderated by Evie Whitsett, both of whom, as panelists, contributed well-researched and thoughtful papers. Special thanks from Bay Area NOW to non-member panelists Betty Peery, Donna Reed, and Nema Redding for their generous and very informative participation. SUMMARY OF FEBRUARY BUSINESS MEETING, BAY AREA N.O.W. Marjorie Randal elected unanimously to serve as Chapter Treasurer. Jeanne Saletan reports that Houston Area Council representatives are opting for a flexible structure for the new organization. Frances Hicks reported on actions of National Board to date. Rape task Force report by Dorothy Pearson cited efforts to gather statistics on rape victims in this area and to arrange for a local hospital to treat rape victims. ——Discussion regarding escrowing of National N.O.W. dues concluded with motion by Marjorie Randal to defer decision to March meeting. Motion carried. Informal discussion of Chapter business scheduled for 7 pm. February 19 at the Uniting Church.
