Attend this meeting or submit your name if you are interested in being a delegate! ***The HOUSTON AREA WOMEN'S CENTER will be holding a Garage Sale some time in October and your unwanted items are needed. This in spite of the fact that the "Pro-Lifers" tried their best to stack the conventions at every level. They just don't have the clout they like to think they have. ***The Radical Right did manage to stack the Republican Resolutions Committee. They endorsed the anti-abortion amendment, which would outlaw the pill (used by over 50% of married women) and the IUD (used by 15% of married women). THEY WANT TO OUTLAW THE MOST COMMON FORMS OF BIRTH CONTROL! Don't let your friends be suckered in by Reagan's promises of milk & honeymake them aware of the issues so they won't trade personal freedom for empty promises! "It was we, the people, not we, the white male citizens, nor yet we, the male citizens, but we, the whole people, who formed this Union." Susan B. Anthony, 1873. "We have declared in favor of a government of the people, for the people, by the people, the whole people. Why not begin the experiment?" Elizabeth Cady Stanton, 1882.
