Transcript Austin 12 P.M. Jan'y31, 1861 My D'r Sir I am just from the Capitol. At 12 tomorrow we pass the ordinance. About 8 will vote agn it out of 170 and upwards. The copy I send was only subjected to a few verbal alterations. Tomorrow Genl. McQueen has his reception at 2 P.M. Houston this evening sent in a comn. He recognizes the comn. as a legal body. And will co-operate if the people ratify the ordinance of secession. He and his tools here have hid their very heads in shame. Secession they at length discover is a thing not to be resisted. Tomorrow night corns, to Montgomery will be chosen. No one is spoken of as yet. The no. has not yet been determined on. The matter of Federal property in the State is under consideration in comee. Twiggs will yield, if applied to authoritatively. No application to Gov. Moore has as yet been brought forward. In great haste Yours truly R.C. Campbell
