Description | Three pay certificates for Jesse Bartlett for three months service. Two are for $24 for three months service in Capt. Fowler’s Company. The third is for $144.94 for two months and seven days service for his time at the Battle of San Jacinto and property lost due to the battle. The scrips are of the C2 Variant Series, Copy 8, 9, and 10, No’s. 308, 309, 310. Letter certifies Jesse Bartlett loaned to Cook a shot bag and powder horn "lost on the 21st of April on the battleground near the San Jacinto and has not seen the same since," and that Bartless received "nothing in consideration of said loss," and that the property was worth five dollars. |
