Transcript Relays. She also assisted with all Longhorn men's media relations. Little assisted in the media operations at the 1994 Dr Pepper SWC Classic, 1994 NCAA Central Baseball Regional and served as a production assistant on several televised sporting events, including the Chavez vs. Whitaker boxing event and the 1993 U.S. Olympic Festival. She also received radio/television experience by serving as an intern, analyst, reporter and producer for both on and off-campus stations. Amy Duncan Administrative Assistant to the Marketing Department Amy Duncan enters her second year on the Southwest Conference staff as Administrative Assistant to the Marketing Department. Duncan will have a variety of duties related to the marketing and promotion of the SWC and will assist the marketing department with the sale of corporate packages for the Dr Pepper SWC Classic. A 1991 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Duncan previously served as a Special Events and Media Assistant for the U.S. Olympic Festival in San Antonio. She worked in various areas for the Festival, including coordinating several events and writing features in event publications. She also has experience in the broadcast field, serving as a production assistant for the Billy Tubbs and Gary Gibbs television shows in Norman, Okla. 4 I: ^k Steve Ewerz ■J & Office Manager Steve Ewerz is in his 16th year with the South- -*•*• -#ldH west Conference office and plays an extremely vital role in the day-to-day operation of the office. ^30Mfl Ewerz aids the SWC's controller in payment of ^^L officials, employees and accounts payable, as well '^W l "^W^^JBll as mamtamm& me office's general ledger and ac- ^M ^F i^^^m counts receivable. His duties include maintaining all records and operations of office equipment, inventory and ordering all office supplies and design and distribution of all SWC awards. He also handles special projects as assigned by the commissioner and serves as coordinator for various Collegiate Commissioners Association (CCA) publications. The Lubbock native's responsibilities also involve assisting the supervisor of officials (football, men's and women's basketball, volleyball, baseball and tennis) in administrative duties which include game assignments, preparing materials for clinics and maintaining permanent files for all SWC officials. He is also involved in the administration and organization of the SWC's business operations and also coordinates the SWC's computer network. Ewerz is 1969 graduate of Lubbock Christian University. Coley Jordan Legislative Assistant Coley Jordan enters her third year with the Southwest Conference office and her second as Legislative Assistant. Jordan's duties revolve around coordinating SWC student-athlete eligibility, coaches' certification and GTE Academic Honor Teams. She also assists with the league's drug-testing program and coordinates the Commissioner's Honor Roll each semester, while assisting with the administration of the SWC men's and women's golf championships. Jordan served the league office as an administrative intern during 1992-93 and was involved with a number of issues related to the SWC post-season basketball tournament, including assisting with ticket operations and coordinating VIP hotel arrangements. A 1992 graduate of SMU, Jordan was an All-SWC women's golfer for the nationally-ranked Lady Mustangs and served as the team's co- captain. She was also appointed by president A. Kenneth Pye to the SMU Athletic Council. Dale Kelley Supervisor of Men's Basketball Officials Dale Kelley is in his second year in association with the Southwest Conference as its Supervisor of Men's Basketball Officials. Kelley, who has spent the last eight seasons as the supervisor of men's basketball officials in the Metro Conference, will continue to oversee the Metro as well as the Sun Belt Conference. A highly-successful basketball official who has worked three NCAA Final Fours, Kelley boasts an impressive resume both on and off the basketball court. He was a Southeastern Conference basketball official from 1970-85, a tenure in which Kelley officiated in nine consecutive NCAA tournaments. Kelley currently serves as the mayor of Huntingdon, Tenn., and is a member of the County Commission of Carroll County. He has served as the commissioner of the Tennessee Dept. of Transportation from 1985-87 and was a member of the state House of Representatives from 1978-84. Kelley has also served in several capacities for the city of Huntingdon and was a member of the President's National Advisory Council on Adult Education. A graduate of Bethel College in McKenzie, Tenn., Kelley played basketball and baseball and in 1981 was inducted into the school's hall of fame. He and his wife, Carlene, have three children - Amanda, Meredith and Cliff. Eva Lavine Ticket Manager/Marketing Assistant Eva Lavine is in her fifth year with the Southwest Conference office, with her primary responsibilities revolving around ticket operations for the Dr Pepper SWC Classic, GTE Football Kickoff Luncheon, SWC Basketball Tip-off Luncheon and other SWC events. She also assists in the league's marketing service of corporate sponsors. Lavine assists with the administration of the women's portion of the Dr Pepper SWC Classic and serves as the liaison with the Women's Basketball Tournament Board of Directors. Lavine was responsible for ticket operations for the 1994 NCAA Midwest Regional, hosted by the SWC at Reunion Arena. SWC Southwest Conference Basketball
