Robinson became TCU's first full-time assistant women's basketball coach in 1992. Twelve months later, she became only the second full- time head coach in the history of the program. The former Lady Longhorn played for Jody Conradt from 1982-85 and was captain on the 1984-85 team that went 28-3 enroute to an appearance in the NCAA Midwest Regional. Robinson uses her playing experience to help her as a head coach. "Being a former player, I can relate to what the players are experiencing," she said. "I also know what needs to be done." Robinson has taken coaching at TCU to a new level. It is not unusual to find her running fast breaks with her team, not to mention blocking their shots. "My primary responsibility as a coach is to expose the student athlete to life's lessons. Through coaching, a student-athlete is exposed to the values of hard work, sacrifice, personal pride, integrity and othervalues that contributeto success in life," she said. She has given her team a new look, they are up-tempo with a play in-your- face defense. The main concern of this coach is her players lives and helping them to become successful people. "The ultimate aim of our program will be to inspire student-athletes to continually strive to become all they are capable of becoming," she said. "Competetive basketball should provide a means to a greater end." Robinson received her degree in management from the University of Texas in 1986. She currently resides in Arlington with her husband Paul.
