The 21 wins marks Harvery's most successfull season in her five- year head coaching career. Harvey came to A&M from Tulane, where she took the Green Wave from a 6-22 record in her first season to a school record and then personal best 17-14 mark for the 1993-94 season. Harvey guided Tulane to its first ever post-season appearance in 1994 when they placed fourth in the NWIT championship in her final season. Prior to her stint at Tulane, Harvey was an assistant at Stephen F. Austin University. During her six-year career at SFA, the Ladyjacks won three Southland Conference championships, made three consecutive NCAA appearances and finished three seasons ranked in the Top 20. Harvey inhereted a strong team in her first season at Texas A&M and the Lady Aggies have had a chance to adjust to her style of play. "We return all of our starters, and we only lost one senior off of last year's squad," Harvey said. "Not just experience in general, but also experience in my system for a year will be a key factor. There is no way it wasn't an adjustment for them from a different style of basketball. It can't help but be easier for everyone this year. I think that all of us, with a year under our belt, will be ready for bigger and better things.
